Un mariage magnifique...

This is Amy...getting ready and waiting for Bon to arrive!

Here's Bon going through some tests in order to get in!

Which he did!!!

A big hug form her sister, with her dad and Bon by her side.

It was a touching moment, again shot with fast lens and no flash.

I didn't see him and he didn't see me!!!

Tea ceremony with Bon's parents.

a gift from Bon's mum...

and some advice...

Just before walking into the banquet, Bon got help from his dad, but then we all know mums are better at this ;-)

Angels'meeting !

Bon and his bestmen.

Make-up and Rolleiflex

In good company...

Then Amy walked him at her dad's side, towards Bon

et voila!

Then Amy...

and both were very happy about it !

I was very touched to be there for their big day, a very warm and emotional wedding.
they are very nice people and was not surprised to find out that their families are exactly the same, it was a great pleasure to be there and sometimes you just wish the day would last longer...

There were too many photos to choose from to tell you the whole story of the day so I chose to divide it in two parts.
The second part will come soon!

Yutin & Oki second part!

So after we went out for the couple shoot, Ytuin and Oki made it back to the restaurant...

Oki and his Japanese friends.

Having a laugh!

Almost ready!

Make-up.

Friends came to visit the bride before the ceremony...

The entrance...

The second dress.

Celebrate with Champagne always!!!

the mums...

The traditional Kimono required some help, and some time ;-)

While Oki was waiting.

Yutin drop some tears, mixed couples have to make extra compromises, and it doesn't come easy for their families, I should know.

Yutin wiping the tears off her mum's face.

We went for a traditional look for this on, to match the wonderful kimono Yutin was wearing.

I felt honoured to be there and record their big day, it was a real pleasure as I understand what it means to marry in another country and another culture. I can see those two are meant to be together and I wish them all the happiness in the world.

It was a very touching wedding and a great pleasure for me to be there, Maggie is a very good friend who made it to my own wedding in France, so this time it was my turn to be there and record her big day.

I wish them both all the happiness in the world.

Yutin & Oki first part!

Last staurday was Yutin & Oki wedding day in Taipei.

But here are some couple photos only, as we took some time prior to the wedding ceremony to take some extra photos.

Yutin took us to a restaurant, and to my surprise Oki who first seem shy relaxed easily!!! even though we were in a bit of a rush and didn't have enough time to have a beer ;-)

Yutin...

B&W posing next to the piano.

Now let's be clear : Yutin can play piano and this one is a Steinway, the way I see it : if you do it then you do it for real and you do it right!!!

Beautiful styling for a beautiful bride.

As it was getting darker we took a last serie of shots in front of the National palace museum

In part 2 I will show you some photos from the wedding ceremony itself.

Have a nice day,

Au revoir...

I am sorry to announce that I have left the company, I have been working as photo director for Shimin for over a year now and have decided for personal reasons not to renew my contract.

I would like to thank the company for giving me this great opportunity, it's been a pleasure to work there, I have learned a lot and improved also, met great people along the way, but it's now time to move along.

I wish to thank all my customers, you've been great models and a lot of fun to work with, every single time it's been fun and a memorable experience for me and I hope for you too.

This blog will remain to showcase my work in Shimin and the wonderful dresses of the company, and for my customers and their friends and family.

There will be some more photos as I keep shooting the remaining cases, I will honour my engagements with the clients that have trusted me to take photos for them.

If you would like to keep an eye on my work you can still follow me on my personal blog as I keep shooting always, just as I breathe !

I will keep on shooting here in Taiwan and around the world for a long long time to come...

Thanks a million,

Nico
